  • Hello and welcome to my blog! My website is where you will get a feel for my work as a wedding photographer, pricing information, and other details, but this blog is where I get to share my life with you. I'll be sharing things I learn, things that make me laugh, things that inspire me, things that frustrate me, the joys of being a newlywed, the sweet love stories of my clients and so much more!

I am a Kansas City wedding photographer; contact me for more information regarding your wedding day.

Zach + Meridith: Part 1 | Kansas City Wedding Photographer

I was so thrilled to hear from Meridith back in September, when she got engaged. She and I went to high school together, and it was so fun to re-connect! Her husband is in the Marines in San Diego, and in September he surprised her with a visit and proposed to her! They quickly planned their wedding around the next time he would be home, which was Thanksgiving weekend. I am amazed at how beautifully elegant their wedding was for planning it so quickly! The details Meridith created were so classy! They were married last Friday, November 26th at the stunning Scottish Rite Consistory downtown Des Moines.

There are so many photos from the day I want to share with you that I had to break it down into two posts! Enjoy the getting ready and first look photos, and tomorrow I will post the couple’s portraits, ceremony & reception.

Meridith found a lot of her pretty things on etsy.com
Her beautiful dress from the Bridal Connection in Ankeny:
Meridith’s flowers were arranged by Originals by Beck, in Bondurant.
Zach & Meridith’s first look before the ceremony, full of sweetness!
And the last image for today…my favorite bridal portrait of Meridith! So pretty!
Stay tuned for part two tomorrow!
