Modern Photojournalistic Wedding Photography
My first engagement session of the season, and these two were a blast to photograph! Sarah and Adam’s wedding is a little less than two months away, and it was so fun having an evening to get to know them more. Not to mention, the weather was absolutely perfect. Enjoy a few of my favorites from their session!

I first met Leigh and Nick at Leigh’s sister’s wedding (see Trey & Lacey’s wedding here!). I loved Leigh from the moment I met her, and I knew her boyfriend was pretty cool too, as he saved the day with her bridesmaid’s dress that just refused to zip!You can imagine my complete excitement when I got a call from Leigh a couple months ago, announcing that they were engaged! It’s SO fun to work with families, and I am so excited to photograph the 2nd wedding in this sweet family!

How to even begin a post about such a sweet friend?! Staci and I took art classes together at SBU our first semester of college (or should I say suffered through them?! They weren’t exactly exciting classes!!), and then didn’t stay in touch after I transferred away after that first semester. These were pre-facebook days! We re-connected on facebook a couple years later, and then last year Staci and I both moved to Kansas City and we were able to reconnect in person! I have loved having her friendship, and I can’t say enough how excited I am for her and Nate! They met earlier this spring, and it was obvious by the way Staci spoke of him that he was going to be in her life for quite a whileWatching a friend being pursued and loved by a Godly man is one of the best things ever! I can’t wait for their wedding next year!

Yes, ’tis the season for engagement shoots! Lesley is good friends with Leigh, the sister of one of my past brides. I have decided I love anyone who is good friends with this group; they are so fun! Lesley & Jordan met waaaaay back in 7th grade, and even back then, Lesley definitely had a thing for this guy! They went to different high schools and colleges, but even throughout these years, Jordan couldn’t get Lesley off his mind. So, fast forward to their senior year of college, and Jordan decided it was now or never. He had to go after Lesley! After a few months of trying to win her over, he scored a date with her and the rest is history!!
As the father of the bride I can’t wait to welcome a son into the family. I couldn’t ask for a better person than Jordan.
The pictures are wonderful! The Cardinals idea was great as well as the pictures around the lake.

If anybody knows these two lovebirds, it’s me. The most ridiculous thing about it is that they act like this when nobody is photographing. Of course I love every single picture but my favorite is probably the one where they are kissing in the Cardinals gear in front of the boats.. it’s so Lesley and Jordan…in love. <3 I'm so excited for November 30, 2013!!

They are all beautiful! I love the big ones of the “enchanted forest” so you guys obviously liked those too! I really like the one where you are in the Cardinal gear and Lesley is laughing, very Lesley. Also like number 1 of lake pics, and number 5 of the open field pics. All beautiful!

There are some really good shots of Sarah and Adam at different places of interest. The shot of them and the tree was good. you had to be at the right place at the right time. I like the first black and white one, too. They looked as if they were having fun.
