  • Hello and welcome to my blog! My website is where you will get a feel for my work as a wedding photographer, pricing information, and other details, but this blog is where I get to share my life with you. I'll be sharing things I learn, things that make me laugh, things that inspire me, things that frustrate me, the joys of being a newlywed, the sweet love stories of my clients and so much more!

I am a Kansas City wedding photographer; contact me for more information regarding your wedding day.

I really love…

I’ve been lagging behind in my “i really love” series lately! When I did my first one (view the post here) it was my goal to do one a week…maybe that was too lofty of a goal?!

I’ve had a lot of time on my hands these past couple days as I have been home sick. Being sick in the spring when it’s absolutely gorgeous outside is the worst!! I’ve had fun discovering some really cool websites, so I’ll share one of them with you. I have recently had a thing for flower-ey headbands and accessories, and I LOVE what Twigs & Honey create! Twigs & Honey is a business based out of Salem, Oregon, and features hair adornments, headbands, birdcage veils, traditional veils, bridal jewelry, belts, boutonnieres, hats, shrugs, bouquets, corsages, and more! Their work is so beautiful, and it’s custom-designed for each bride. Here are a couple of my favorites:

As a single woman, I have always been a believer in not planning out details for my someday-wedding. For me, having a plan for my wedding day seems to create a terrible discontentment in me. Of course I can’t wait for God to bring the man I will someday marry into my life, but for now, I must strive to live life fully as a single woman rather than waiting for life to begin once I am married. Even though I get so many great wedding ideas from my clients, I certainly don’t have details for my own wedding planned out! However, one thing is for sure: I would LOVE to wear one of these sweet flower birdcage veils like the one above! I LOVE that!!
