My mom is an incredible gardener. Even that is an understatement, really! When I was growing up, she always had vases with fresh flowers around the house from her garden. It was expected and lovely…but I never really understood how wonderfully gratifying it is to bring in flowers from the yard until now. It’s been so fun seeing what sorts of flowers and bushes we have here at our new house, and I loved being able to cut fresh peonies to enjoy in the house!! I wish I could have an abundance of these beauties year-round!

Typically, lunch together with coworkers didn’t seem like the most exciting part of the day…until Lisa spotted a really cute guy who worked on her floor! Their initial conversation revolved around the very tasty pasta salad he brought to share, and they both secretly thought the other was quite dorky! Even before their first official date, Lisa just knew she was going to marry Tim. It only took a little time for them to both agree they were a perfect fit together!

Once I discovered that these two love to cook together and that they are having an Italian cookie bar at their winter wedding, I knew we needed to arrange a little cookie-baking fun into their engagement session! Lisa & Tim, you two are such fun, genuine people, and I could not be more thrilled to get to work with you! Your wedding is going to be unforgettable! I love that when a man captures a lady’s heart, she can’t help but radiate pure joy when she’s with him! I love this one of you guys below!Lisa, you have the most incredible hair EVER!!!You guys look like you just walked out of a jcrew magazine Congratulations again, Lisa & Tim! Kansas City Wedding Photographer: Matt & Anne!

I can’t imagine a couple that’s more of a Sporting KC fan as Matt & Anne! Matt surprised her with a diamond ring around Christmas time while they got a back-stage tour of the stadium, we took some of their engagement photos there, and their reception will be at the stadium as well! They have been a blast to get to know; they have such contagious laughs, and it was SO cute how many times they said “i love you” to each other during this shoot!

I’m so looking forward to your wedding in January! Love their Mister & Misses jersey’s! Such a fun idea! Favorite!!Congratualtions again, you two!!

Since we moved into our new house in March, I’ve been dying to have some updated photos of Grant and I to hang on a couple bare walls. I’m SO thrilled that Erica (http://www.anecdotallyyours.com/) took photos for us; we love them! I love how she captured “us” – the sweet, serious, silly and a bit strange Here are some of my favorites:Max’s favorite trick: High Five!Look at that man I get to call my husband!! Isn’t he dashing?! Now for the silly & strange… haha! Back end story on Max: he looks super cute, right?! Well…part way through the shoot, he walked near us and we were overwhelmed with a really nasty smell. It didn’t take long to realize it was this little stinker. Apparently he found some mud to roll around in…that was actually manure. He was covered. So a beautiful, fun evening turned out to be a bit stressful dealing with such stink…but it was well worth it for these photos! And this is what happened when we tried to get Max to sit for a photo! Umm…wrong way dude!Hahaha this one cracks me up! Thanks again, Erica! The photos are perfect!!
