Introducing a fun new product for this year! I had orignally pictured this product for wedding clients, but I love it for seniors and families as well. This is a 20×20 or 30×30 canvas gallery wrap, designed with 30-40 of your favorite images from your photo session. It’s a great way to showcase your photos!
This first example is from Erika’s senior portrait session (view her session here):
The gallery wraps are 1 1/2 inches thick:
And one of the best parts about gallery wraps is that they come ready to hang. No need to save up for a very expensive frame, just put a nail in the wall and hang your gorgeous piece of artwork!
Here is the gallery wrap Allison and her family ordered (see the images from their session here). I love the blend of colors and how it speaks their family’s personality to well!

I photographed the fun and lovely Whitney from Norwalk High School today. Although today was very cloudy and windy, we were able to create some fabulous portraits! Here is a quick sneak peak because I just LOVE this one and can’t resist sharing it with you! I will post the others in a couple weeks, after her proofbook arrives!
Isn’t she beautiful?!

Erika was so fun to work with!! It was a dynamic session, plus we had a lot of fun! =) Erika is such a beautiful woman, inside and out! She has incredible eyes and skin, which made her so fun photograph! Plus, she has such great style - with every new outfit she put on I exclaimed, “AH! Look at you! SO cute!!”

Look at her beautifully stunning eyes!!
Scrumptious light!

one of my favorite favorites!!

Another favorite! I love the colors in this one!
So, from our session I learned that Erika LOVES shoes. I mean, this girl has a major shoe fetish! So I thought it would be really fun to do a “shoe session” with all her shoes to create a collage with all her shoes…so here’s the final product!
Once I saw this photo in-camera, I just knew it would be my favorite from Erika’s senior portrait session tonight. I haven’t even looked at the rest of her photos, I just love this one so much!!! She is a very beautiful young woman, and I can’t wait to post more from our time!

Perhaps you’re wondering…”why is there always a sneak peak? Why doesn’t she just post all the photos at once?” Good question! =) I post a “sneak peek” usually the day of the photo session because I am so excited about the photos…but won’t be able to get all my favorites edited for a few days, and I just can’t WAIT to show you a glimpse of the session!
So with that, I just can’t wait to give you a peek of today’s senior session! Katie is a gorgeous gal, and we had a blast downtown Des Moines tonight!

I had the delight of taking David’s senior photos last night, and it was a perfect evening for photos! Here are a couple of my favorites, right as the sun was going down…aka scrumptious light!. More photos to come after David’s proofbook comes in!!

I am dreadfully behind in posting these photos. I posted a sneak peak of Sarah’s session nearly a month ago! We had such a great time together. She broke her 2-hour session into two parts, one in the morning with her hair straight and one in the beautiful evening light with her naturally curly hair. Sarah is such a beautiful person, inside and out! We began at Indianola Community Church, to get some shots with the grand piano. Pastor Ed, the worship pastor, was kind enough to play with the lights a little to get them just right for us. I’m thrilled with how they turned out!

Isn’t she stunning?! She’s also an incredibly talented piano player!

So cute! Sarah loves strawberries, so we did some fun shots with them!
Next we headed to Sarah’s aunt’s home. There were beautiful spots both inside and outside!

Just in case you’re wondering…yes, the chair really is exactly the same color as Sarah’s dress…and no, we didn’t plan it! She wore the dress, I brought the chair that I had bought that morning! Crazy, huh!?

As I promised yesterday, I am posting some photos of the albums that arrived yesterday. I am thrilled with how my 11×14 album turned out! Check it out!

This is a 34-page, 11×14 Flushmount Album with a metal cameo on the front. These albums have a lifetime guarantee - they will last forever!! The 2-page spreads could have anywhere between one and 15 photos, so the design possibilites are endless!
Here are some photos of the classy 5×4 Purse Album I offer. It’s a perfect album to throw in your purse so you can show off your photos at any time!

In each of my wedding collections, I include a proofbook of all photos from the day. Here is what a proofbook looks like (note that this is a senior proofbook, and a wedding one will be a lot thicker because it will have a few hundred more photos!):
And lastly, here are all three albums together, so you can see the differences in sizes:

Meet Veronica! She is a senior at Carlisle High School, and her family is from Russia. She’s one of the sweetest high schoolers I’ve met, and such a joy to work with. At the beginning of our shoot, she said how it was really weird to have her photo taken…but I think that by the end, she really enjoyed it and would have wanted to keep going if the sun hadn’t gone down! Here are some of my favorites:
Veronica said she’s not a very photogenic person…but I think she’ll change her mind once she sees her photos! I loved all the little poses she did for me! I especially love this next one - I couldn’t have asked for better lighting!

I love how this one captures her striking features - those bright blue eyes, porcelian skin, and spunky hair!

Wow. That sums up tonight’s high school senior session. Sarah Wickett is stunningly gorgeous, plus extremely photogenic! There are probably 300+ photos from today that are “wow” images! Here are a couple of my favorites, and the rest won’t be up for a week or so (so that Sarah is the first to see them!)
