The Kackley Family

A few months ago I had the great pleasure of second shooting a wedding with Laura of Lark Photos. In a sense, Laura and I seem to have flip-flopped lives; she moved to Chicago with her hubby and sweet little son, and travels back to Kansas City to shoot weddings…just like Grant and I just moved to Kansas City and I’m traveling back to Iowa for weddings! Laura is a talented wedding photographer, and a beautiful person inside and out. I was honored to have the opportunity to photograph her adorable family. Laura, you are gorgeous and I do believe you should be in front of the camera more often!:)

Super cute! I love the reading photos :-)

The Permanent Collection

I was absolutely delighted when an email from Sarah appeared in my inbox, asking if I would take photos for her new website. Sarah is the talented letterpress artist behind The Permanent Collection, and who created my lovely business cards! She is a mom to two beautiful girls, a graphic design professor, and crazy talented artist! I LOVE everything she creates, and my walls are adorned with a couple of her prints. It has been a great pleasure to get to know her, and I’m sad that I’m moving a few hours away from her and her sweet family! To see Sarah’s work, go to her…

If I had these letter blocks, I’d have a really hard time not glueing them down to the board and hanging it on my wall! I think it’s so gorgeous!
