Last day of the month…means my goal of blogging each day for a month is complete! It has been an exhausting journey, I am glad it’s complete…but I’m so glad I went on this journey! Out of the many things I learned, here are a few:

1. I learned a new appreciation for photographers who blog nearly every day with relevant, current information.

2. I learned that sometimes I do well creating spontaneous posts because they tend to be more passionate…but it was really helpful to learn to compose posts even when I didn’t “feel like it.” I greatly desire the skill to communicate well through stories, explanations and photographs, and this month was helpful!

3. The further I got into the month, I wrote later and later each day. Lesson learned? I am not efficient with my time! Even now my contacts are hazy because it’s late and I’m exhausted!

Thank you for going on this journey with me! To those of you who have been following my blog, I really appreciate you. I can’t tell you enough how encouraging and motivating your comments are; thank you!!!!

You can expect to not hear from me for a few days at least – a break is much needed! =)

I realized that it has been a long, long time since I have crossed anything off my 101 in 1001 goal list. Time to do something about this! Goal #15 is to blog every day for a month. Since today is a new month, I have decided to give it a shot. Not only is it a new month, it just so happens to be the shortest month! And the month of my first 2011 wedding and my birthday and some exciting business changes…it’s going to be a great month! Beginning today, I will be blogging each day. This sounds like a terribly intimidating goal, so I will need YOUR help. I don’t say this enough, but your comments and support mean SO much to me…and I have a feeling I might need them to keep me going! If you have any questions or topics you would like to have me cover, whether it be about photography or life or weddings or puppies or marriage…ask away!

Stay tuned tomorrow for my excited news of a finished project! And a glimpse of this project…is a little leftover on my sweet puppy…

I’ve been having so much fun trying new recipes lately and using fresh herbs! It amazes me that a little pinch of grass-looking stuff can be so flavorful in a meal! Always makes me wonder…who first discovered that? “That’s a nice looking weed, I wonder what it tastes like?!” Crazy! For a while now, I’ve wanted to grow my own herbs to have a fresh supply of them because I usually only use a tiny bit out of the package I buy before it goes bad. So, item #3 on my 101 list: Learn how to grow my own veggies and herbs…check! Well, the herbs part! Since I live in a condo, I don’t have a yard to plant them in, so I used four little pots. Most of them are supposed to sprout in 14-20 days, and I can’t wait! I’ll update you on their progress! =)

I think it’s hilarious that the brand of seeds is called “Burpee”!

Isn’t it incredible that such teeny tiny seeds can sprout into tall plants, and even the tallest of trees? That’s miraculous!

Here’s a fun perspective for you: Ok, so I might just be a little too excited about my new herb-growing venture!

In the words of my dearly beloved iPod… “it’s been a rough journey. i once was lost, but now i’m found!”

Last fall, I was running on the treadmill at the gym, enjoying some music on my ipod. Because I didn’t have a fancy arm band for my ipod, I had it nestled in the handy ledge on the treadmill. After many, many long miles I had run with my ipod like this, it had never caused me any trouble…until this day. My hand caught my earphone cord, and my ipod flew through the air. I quickly paused the treadmill and went to the floor to pick it up. I didn’t see it right away, so I got on the ground to look under the treadmill…not there either. Hmm. Where could my little ipod have gone? There was an older gentleman on a machine behind me, and he proceeded to get on the ground with me to help in the search. He saw it fly to the ground as well, but to our dismay, it was no where in sight! I left a note for the gym staff, explaining my predicament, and finished my workout. I heard from them a couple days later, and they had someone come to the gym to take apart the treadmill in search of my ipod. No luck. I was insistent that it was in there…and they probably thought I was crazy! After a few excruciating days spent without my beloved music, I decided to take the plunge and upgrade to an ipod touch. I mean, I had a perfectly legitimate reason to spend extra cash, right? Music is a huge part of my life, and to go without it…well…let’s not even imagine a life like that!

I got my touch and I absolutely LOVE it. And then what happened, you may ask? You got it! A couple days ago, a whole SEVEN months after my treadmill-ate-my-ipod incident, a woman at the gym called because they found my ipod! Not only mine, but there were 2 others that had gotten trapped in the same place! Crazy! This treadmill has a serious appetite for ipods! So, now I am left with the best of both worlds: my little classic one to run with and my touch for everything else. I will forever be more careful on a treadmill. I might even venture to simply watch the tv’s rather than dare to subject my lil’ ipod to such pain again. =)

And the card with the quote about design: i agree!
