Ben & Carissa: Married!

Do you remember the super fun couple who met in boxing practice at ISU?? (click here if you need a refresher!) They were married on July 24th at St Thomas Aquinas. It was an all-around beautiful day! Carissa carries herself with such poise, and was so calm & relaxed all day! Here are a few of my favorites from the day:

Carissa’s dress was unbelievably beautiful. She looked like a queen…and wait til you see the back of it!
Next 3 lovely shots were captured by Anna:
Talk about romantic and gorgeous and mysterious and captivating!
Love this detail shot by Anna:
I love this peaceful shot that Anna took:

It’s so fun to photograph weddings in churches with balconies; I was shooting at the back of the church and Anna was up on the balcony to get this cool perspective!
The light in the church was so beautiful and romantic!
Anna captured this shot as they left the church:
We slipped away for a few portraits at the campanile on campus (where Ben proposed) before we headed to the reception.
The one on the right below is one of my favorites from the day:
Carissa had a folder of fun games for her guests to work on before dinner. A fun idea!
So fun! Anna stole the couple away for some portraits by this lovely wall:
They played this super fun game where they sat back-to-back with one of their shoes in each hand. The best man asked them questions such as “who snores the loudest?” or “who is the most frugal?” or “which of you is better looking?” and they had to raise the shoe of which one they thought fit the question. The guests were rolling in laughter! =)
This photo below summarizes the tone of their first dance!
Talk about delicious light for the first dance!

Congratulations again, Ben & Carissa! Thank you for having me be a part of your day!
