Confession time. I have a really, really hard time getting rid of old clothes. You know, the ones I used to love and wear all the time, or the ones that have special memories…but that I haven’t been able to fit into for years. Am I the only one with this problem? I mean, if I haven’t worn a pair of jeans since high school and I’d have to lose 20 pounds at least to fit into them, why is is so hard to get rid of them?! That’s a phenomena I will never understand about myself! I have learned that moving is a really great time to get rid of things. I recently moved back to Iowa from Albuquerque, New Mexico and when I came back to my old room and saw all this stuff I haven’t even thought about this past year, I decided I could cut the ties and haul some stuff off to Goodwill. And boy, did that feel good! I got rid of a ton of stuff, including the clothes from the photo above. And that was only my first go-through; my goodwill pile of clothes has probably tripled since I took that photo! It felt so great to get rid of old clothes…that I think I just might go through stuff more often! =)
