Favorite Ring Shots of 2011

How can today possibly be the last day of 2011?! It’s amazing how quickly time flies by! If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you likely know that I can be quite reflective and nostalgic. So, it shouldn’t be a surprise that I am going to do a few posts like this one, looking back at some of my favorite things of 2011.

First up, a handful of my favorite ring shots before I go shoot my last wedding of 2011!

What a great post Allison! I mean, looking at great jewelry really is a great perk of your job! I loved seeing our rings again too – one of them is already my wallpaper on my phone :)

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas from the Wollenhaupts!

I wish you had a blessed day full of quality time with family and plenty of laughter! And above all, I hope you had time to relish the amazing truth of Christmas, that God himself came to earth and lived in human form for the purpose of giving us the greatest gift we could ever receive!

A weekend in Minnesota

As I mentioned in an earlier post, last weekend Grant and I traveled to Minnesota for one of his friends’ wedding. We decided to make a long weekend out of it so I had time to meet up with three of my friends from college. I cherished every minute of my afternoon with Beth, Jess and Missy, and really wished we could have multiplied our hours together!

We all met up at the Bachman’s Holiday Ideas House. It’s an old, quaint home that gets fully re-decorated for each season, and then tours are hosted through the home. As we toured the house, I was stunned at the beautiful decorating! They used items that I would never think to decorate with, and I walked away feeling more overwhelmed than inspired, because there were SO many lovely ideas! Here are a few detail shots from the house:

This is an idea I must create when we buy a home!!
Another great idea that seems pretty simple – the variety of sizes of white framed mirrors hanging from the curtain rod of the bathroom window. Delightful!
I would never think of using rolls of toilet paper as decor! love it!

After we toured the house, we stopped in the Bachman store, which is HUGE! I just about wanted to buy one of everything…but instead I left with two great pillows that are perfect on our new couch!

The four of us had lunch at a quaint mom-and-pop cafe. So delicious, but even better was time to catch up with each other!

And lastly, one quick shot of Grant and I from the wedding reception!
