For Cole, it was love at first sight. When Jess walked into Claxon’s Bar & Steakhouse for her first day on the job as a waitress, Cole (a manager there) said to his other male co-workers, “stay away from her; she’s mine!” Sure enough, after only a little while, Jess was Cole’s! They are a couple full of love and energy, silliness and sweetness! They were married on May 8th, and it was a beautiful day! Jess’s one wish was that it wouldn’t rain, and though it was really chilly for outdoor photos, she got her wish. They were married at the Ivy Centennial Methodist Church in Pleasant Hill, a delightful country chapel. It was hard to narrow these photos down to only a few, so here are a whole bunch of my favorites from the day:
They got their hair & make up done at Hair FX, and the stylists did an excellent job!

Jess couldn’t have chosen a more flattering dress, it looked incredible on her!

I love the photo Anna captured on the left below:

There was a window in the library with beautiful light streaming in that we couldn’t pass up!

Jess and Cole chose to have portraits taken before the ceremony, which I highly encourage all my brides and grooms to do. This allows the flow of the day to have a more seemless feel, without having to stop for photos after the wedding. The bride and groom’s first look is one of my favorite parts of the day, as they get to express their love and joy for each other without an audience watching! Here comes Jess as she walks toward her anticipating groom:

Their reception was held at Toad Valley golf course, and they requested to do their first look and portraits there as well. This grove of trees provided a romantic setting for photos:

Fun veil photo captured by Anna:

This photo captures the essence of this fun couple! As Jess says, “we can get real cheesy together and laugh for hours over nothing”!

Jess is stunningly beautiful. She has the most incredible eyes!

Jess found this photo from her parent’s wedding, and decided to re-create the pose!

There were all sorts of photo opportunities around the chapel, and this mini chapel was my favorite!

The bridal party and friends & family left the ceremony on the party bus – so fun! I love this photo Anna took:

The reception hall at Toad Valley is so pretty!!

These butterflies that were at each table were cut out by hand by Jess and her mom! Phew, I can’t imagine the time it took to cut out such intricate wings!
