A tropical Jungle…or is that my backyard?!

It’s been raining here in Iowa for the past few days, and when it cleared up for a few minutes, I couldn’t resist going out for some shots. There’s something about raindrops on green leaves that’s so intriquing to me! I couldn’t get enough of them! My mom is an AMAZING gardener, and these photos show off her beautiful talent!

We went to some train tracks in Pleasant Hill and got some fun shots there before a train came!

I found a spot with beautiful backlighting plus cool lines to create an interesting composition…

Ashley’s ring was simply beautiful:

I LOVE Ashley’s hair style! I learned that she has such thick hair that she regularly gets it thinned – for some one with such thin hair, I can’t imagine that!! It’s such a great style for her beautiful face.

#63…check!

It’s yet another rainy, dreary day in Iowa, so a perfect day to play catch up! Last weekend I made a trip up to Minneapolis to visit my old college roommates and friends. It was such a great weekend! The 3 girls I lived with in college are now in an apartment together, and it is an AMAZING apartment! I’ve never seen such a nice one – with vaulted ceilings, a REAL fireplace,  a washer/dryer – it’s beautiful and luxurious! The girls had fun plans for us on Saturday, but it rained all day, so we didn’t get to do most of their plans. It ended up raining the whole time I was there! Why does that always seem to happen?! We enjoyed some cozy evenings watching movies together rather than going out, which was just as good! I love how natural it is to pick up where we’ve let off, even after I’ve been gone for a year. True Friends! Unfortunately, I didn’t get any photos all weekend (SO SAD!!!), so I don’t have any to post!
